The conflict during the Korean War was when North Korea decided to attack and invade South Korea, causing three long years of war. When North Korea decided to attack South Korea they were taken by surprise but regained their strength and decided to fight back. When North Korea attacked, they started to head to the capital, Seoul. After a while of fighting on ground, they started to use air forces. They also sent sea forces to Korea to start fighting in what is known as the "police action." When they attacked, the small U.S force that was stationed in South Korea were also a part of the war in the beginning. In November and December 1951, hundreds of thousands of troops from the People's Republic of China began heavy assaults against the American and South Korean forces.
